Plextor 40/12/40
I just recieved my Plextor 40/12/40 burner from newegg.com. Man does this drive rock. Burns a full 80min CD in ~3 minutes. I can burn a cd while going to the bathroom rather then while I am eating dinner. With the Burn-proof technology you won’t get any coasters either. The only ones I have gotten where when my computer hard froze because of some of other problem unrelated to the burning.
Works great under linux with ide-scsi emulation and cdrecord/xcdroast. Made a audio CD and a few data CDs all work perfectly.
This drive also does DAE(Digital Audio Extraction) at two times my AOpen DVD drive and 3x my old crappy Acer 52x cdrom. Very nice for someone like me who does alot of DAE.
Also supports overwrite and rawwrite if you so desire.
All this for ~$100 not a bad deal at all.
