I didn’t attend any Penguicon functions today because we needed to leave to get back to Tech at a decent time. We ate a really big breakfast and then hit the road 9.5 hours later arriving in Houghton. The weekend was a blast my fellow LUGers were awesome and I can’t wait to do it [...]

Penguicon Day 2

Day 2 started out really early, we arrived at about 10 to the con. I sat in on a Samba session by Chris Hertel. It was very intersting and gave me a better background into Samba and where it is going. I then got in on about half of a panel on the “Gender of [...]

Penguicon Day 1

MAC Address Spoofing

Enter the command as follows: ifconfig eth0 hw ether 00:00:AA:AA:AA:AA Change eth0 to your card name and “00:00:AA:AA:AA:AA” to the address you want to spoof. Before issuing the command you need to take down [...]

Linux P2P

So yesterday I fired up the trusty Limewire and it said there was an update available. So I went and downloaded the update and now it dies with a class not found exception. So I went on the search of a new Linux P2P application, I found one that works its called the giFT network. [...]
