So Ricky Gervais' podcast is going proprietary, the next season of his podcast will only be available on audible.com and iTunes. I will not be tuning in. There is no way for me to do that since I don't have a windows, macintosh computer, or an iPod. Totally silly move in my mind. The amount of people listening to the podcast will drop off like crazy. Of course I am sure this is just a test to see if they can make money off it. I wish they would go with some type of mp3 subscription model that didn't require proprietary software because then I would gladly pay a few a few dollars to be entertained for a half hour every week.
Ricky Gervais is the creator of the comedy "The Office" on the BBC and "Extras" on HBO.
