So the MTU LUG got their act together and two car fulls of Techie LUGers are going down to Penguicon this coming weekend. We are leaving tomorrow(Thursday) at 12. I am really really looking forward to the weekend. The con is a mix of Sci-Fi/Fantasy and Linux people so not only will there be many Linux illuminaries there but there will also
be some really popular authors.

I am looking forward to hearing/meeting Neil Gaiman, Eric Raymond, Rob Malda, plus others.

I just got a list of the music that I have recently played on my home page. This is made available via the RDF that AudioScrobbler has so kindly made available since I use their plugin to send the songs I am playing to their website.

I am really starting to like the idea of aggregating my interests over varied websites and pulling that data down to my website as needed. Its making writing my website fun again.

This summer I will be going to the Cambridge/Boston MA area for a summer internship in the IBM Extreme Blue program.

So I just recently found this really cool site called Audioscrobbler. It is a site that aggregates your music listening habits. You download a plugin for your favorite music player which sends the Artist/Album/Song to the Audioscrobbler server. This server tallys the song and adds it to your profile. Thus you are able to see what music you play and it also collects data on all the different artists so you can look at other people's playlists for music that will interest you.

So I don't have a show this semester. I just didn't get in during the time available to fill out an application. Then when they contacted the former DJs they didn't have any good time slots left. So I won't have a show until next fall.

I have had this CD in my car stereo all week long. Its a testament to this group that I haven't removed it yet. Following up on their release "Beyond Here and Now", Neuropa deliver another very intriguing album. The songs are mostly in the vein of their older music, with new twists thrown in. Going from poppy to slower to instrumentals there isn't a filler track on this album. I especially like the songs "There for You", "A Better Place", "Nothing Left to Lose". Cosmicity's Escape Pod For Two definately a crowning moment in the career of this amazing musician. It is the final release that Mark has committed to. He is taking a break from Cosmicity for an unknown amount of time.
