Imogen Heap

I just got back from Imogen Heap concert at Paradise Rock club here in Boston. Zoë Keating is along for the tour. I hadn't heard Zoe's music before but she plays a mean acoustic cello. Immi's show is amazing. She has an awesome stage presence. Immi mostly played songs off her new album Speak for Yourself. Luckily she also played Let Go along with It's Good to Be in Love from Details. Zoë Keating played along with Immi on Can't Take It In the track from the Narnia soundtrack. They also played Headlock together along ...

Ars on the NSA wiretap scandal

Hannibal over at Ars has written two good articles on the NSA wiretap scandal. First he goes into what can be gathered by reading quotes of people who know about the program. He also talks about what has been previously mentioned about this technology. In the second article he neatly presents an easy to read summary of why mass surveillance is bad. If you read anything at all about this issue read these articles.

Tim, Amin, and I went to the Blue Man Group "Tubes" show on Sunday. The show has been playing for quite a while and I had never gotten a chance to see it. We had second row seats. Unfortunately we didn't get any thing on us even though we had ponchos. :(

The rock show that I went to back in May of ...

thundersnow?!?

Yes thundersnow. Boston had a nice snowstorm yesterday. We got about ~~6in~~10in of snow other places got up to 17in. Plus we got an added bonus a little bit of thunder and lightning.
thundersnow

Amin made it here safely even though his plane got hit by lightning and broke of a portion of the wing.

Then the T was being very very slow and we had to wait for an hour for a bus. It was all fun and good though we had a nice random conversation with another bus rider.

Yipee for winter.

Windows Live Maps

One cool thing with windows Live maps is that you can add pushpins onto the map. And then create a URL to always access that map. Plus it has Europe with some level of detail. More then any other service I have seen.

Check out a map of the route Paul and I took on our trip to Germany back in May of 2005.
