Take my heart, Don´t ever tear it apart

ultimate sky Michigan's second album Ultimate Sky grew on me over the past few months that I had it. At first it didn't grab me as quickly as their first CD did but that might just be because I am familiar with their style. However as I listened to the album I found that certain songs just stuck with me and I really started to like them. Ultimate Sky is a mix of harder, faster songs mixed with the right amount of slower more contemplative songs. The lyrics are complex throughout. It is really worth it to read the lyrics ...

Don't let your dreams go tumbling down

So I now have a full time job. Next spring I will start work at IBM in the Lotus Teamware Development division. My team is located in Westford MA, which is about 30 minutes from Boston.

It sounds like a really interesting job and I am looking forward to it. My team is dealing with collaborative web technologies(wikis, blogs, im) and how they can be used to make teams more effective.

Now I just have to graduate and find a place to live.

Universal Poplab

Universal Poplab's debut CD of the same name was released in Sweden a while back. I recently got my hands on the import and the CD is very strong.

I have already listened to it at an amazing number of times as my audioscrobbler list can testify. They are all over my top tracks and are #16 on my top artists. The music is very catchy. Very good vocals, the lyrics are totally awesome, just all around catchy songs with awesome programming. They use the electronics to create a sound different from any other artist but hauntingly familiar. Right ...

Stephen Lynch

Stephen Lynch performed at the Rosza("giant grape") Center today.

It was totally amazing. Even with Lynch being doped up on drugs to fight his cough and him having to cough every few minutes. It didn't seem to affect his singing that much. Lynch involved the audience througout the whole show and showed his ability to improvise with a rendition of "Superhero". It was the most hilarious show I have seen in my Tech career. The humor is definately adult but covers topics that people always joke about in private. Stephen just does it on a stage in front ...

Enough music already?

So Todd over at ADD posted a list of the CDs that will be released in 2004 on into 2005.

Wow! I am amazed at all the totally rockin albums that will be released by ADD in the near future. So many CDs from some of my favorite artists.

CDs like:
Intuition "Overworked and Underplayed" -- Their freshman CD was totally crazy and I love their new single. This CD is sure to get a lot of spin time from me.

Leiahdorus "Parallel Universe" -- More electronic piano pop then you can shake a stick at. This CD has been highly anticipated ...

Computers can be annoying.

Right when I need my computer to just work it doesn't. The power supply died(after 3 years of 24/7 work) and it took the CPU and motherboard with it. So now I get to wait until early next week before I get a computer that I can use. Definately not the most opportune time with school starting up. Luckily classes aren't very busy yet so I don't absolutely need the computer.

Hopefully the new parts will work nicely and I will be back online.

Fixing computers is annoying.

4947 miles

Paul and I have driven 4947 miles in 11 days. It was a very round about trip from Minneapolis to my home town. I went a few hundred miles less then that since I didn't go down to Cedar Falls with Paul.

We visited Mt. Rushmore, Glacier National Park, Mt. Rainier, Seattle, the Space Needle, Corvallis OR, the Pacific Ocean, and Yellowstone National Park. It was a very awesome trip, pictures and a write will follow.
