Hotzone

I have read Kevin Sites' blog with interest over the last year or so. Now he is "blogging" on the Hotzone at Yahoo. He will be visiting every armed conflict in the world in a year. ~~Unforunately the website has no RSS feeds.~~ A feed is now available. I hope this is just a short oversite by the Yahoo team and they provide them pretty soon.

Should be an interesting journey.

Anansi Boys

Anansi Boys is Neil Gaiman's latest novel. Anansi is the African trickster god. He made a brief apperance in American Gods. Anansi has a son Fat Charlie Nancy and when Anansi dies Charlie's life turns upside down. He finds out he has a brother who has all of Anansi's powers and creates havoc for Charlie. This is the story of how the two brothers who didn't know each other cope with meeting for the first time. It also has a lime. Along with other gods that poke around in our world. I found myself laughing out ...

Neil came to Cambridge as part of his Anansi Boy's signing tour(as mentioned in his journal post). Neil read a few pages from Anansi Boys and then answered questions. In which a quick over view of the sequel to Good Omens with Terry Pratchet ...

So I am not on top of things, but last weekend I went kayaking on the Deerwood river in Western MA. We went on sit-on-top kayaks which are next to impossible to tip down class 1 and 2 rapids. So after getting used to running the kayak over rocks the trip went very easily. The small bit of class 2 was the best part but ...

The Gin Blossoms played a free show at the Taste of Boston. They did play a few of their popular songs like "Hey Jealousy" and "Follow You Down". So along with some 90s nostalgia we got to sample some really good food from local Boston restaurants.

I guess the Gin Blossoms have a new album coming out soon.

The weekend during which Terry Pratchett visited Boston. Terry is on tour supporting his new book Thud! He is as funny in person as he is in his writing. He did a 20-30 minute chat followed by a Q&A and then signed books. He mentioned how he has to write child books for the medals and adult books to make money. He doesn ...

Iris - Wrath

![](http://spilog.org/images/covers/DIF010.jpg)

So I have had Wrath for one week now. I have listened to it at least a
dozen times
. Probably way more then that.

"You're the delivered one"

The cd is amazing. Definately the best I have gotten so far in 2005. A
nice evolution for Iris. The music is a nice progression from
Awakening. Some of my favorite tracks include Imposter, 68, Intercede
Light, and Delivered One. This is definately a cd to listen(myspace.com) to from
beginning to end.

"i am on to these imposters' ways"

I think Iris ...

oh my...

I don't know if I can wait or not. The newest cd from Iris entitled "Wrath" is now on its way to me. I have listened to two of the tracks that are on myspace and they totally have me salivating. Sounds like Iris has put out another cd full of innovative songs. The few people who have gotten the cd say that there isn't a bad track to be found.

To even sweeten the package the newest Leiahdorus single "Kiss on the Telephone" is also on its way. I have heard a few of the new tracks ...

Six Feet Under finale

The Six Feet Under season finale was last night. It is the last show ever. After 5 seasons the show is ending. SFU went out the way it came in, making you think. I liked it. The writers didn't leave that many loose ends and they told their portion of the story. Poignant, as Jason Kottke put it.

This is one of the only tv shows I have watched from beginning to end. Even if it may have slipped at times during its run overall it was an awesome ride. The characters evolved and went through many trials we ...
